How many laptops do we need to survive in China?

The kids and I have been enjoying Grandma's, Legoland, the beach and the cool weather of San Diego.  Meanwhile, Chris has been toiling at finishing teaching back home.  Tomorrow, he will be able to join us just in time to head on our China adventure.  I've been staying up late finishing up last minute travel arrangements and emailing people in China. Are we excited?  Yes.  Scared? Yes!  We know this is going to be a trip we will all remember for a long while.  Chris called to find out if there was anything we had left behind that he needed to bring.  I can't think of anything we haven't talked about yet, but that doesn't mean we really have everything.  However, I have to keep reminding myself that it isn't like when the missionaries went to China back in the 1800s.  Back then, they went and often never returned for 10 or 20 years, maybe never.  We are just wondering whether we can really survive with just an iPad and not a laptop too.  Our conclusion?  Probably not.  We aren't exactly going to be roughing it.
